SM Trainee Team SMTR25 Takes Legal Action Against Unauthorized Intrusion by Stalkers

SM Entertainment has announced legal action in response to privacy violations against the male trainee group SMTR25. On the 26th, SM Entertainment released an official statement on SMTR25's official Instagram account, emphasizing the seriousness of recent privacy infringement incidents.

According to the statement, there are sasaeng fans who have trespassed into SMTR25's dormitory without permission, engaging in invasive physical contact and unauthorized taxi rides, thereby violating the trainees' privacy. These actions have caused extreme distress to the members, with reports of noise disturbances from fans calling out trainees' names inside the building, illegal dumping of trash, and unauthorized entry into restricted areas. These incidents have caused significant harm not only to the SMTR25 trainees but also to residents sharing the space.

SM Entertainment warned, "The trainees, who have not yet officially debuted, are feeling anxious in their daily lives, and nearby residents are also expressing discomfort. We ask that all acts infringing on the artists' privacy be stopped immediately." The company also stated that despite verbal warnings and measures such as deploying security teams, the situation has not improved, leaving them no choice but to pursue legal action.

SM Entertainment emphasized, "If these situations are not promptly resolved, we will take active legal measures to prevent safety accidents, protect privacy, and prevent crimes involving our trainees and residents." They added, "Please be cautious to avoid becoming involved in any unfortunate incidents," and assured, "We will continue to do our best to protect our trainees and artists."

SMTR25 is currently a male trainee group consisting of 25 members, with 15 members publicly revealed, including Hamin, Nicholas, Hanbi, Songha, Daniel, Hyunjun, Katsho, Justin, Haruta, Kachin, Tata, Jaewon, Urin, Sadaharu, and Charlie. They will hold their first fan meeting tour in Seoul on May 2 and 3, followed by tours in Yokohama, Japan on May 24, and Bangkok, Thailand on May 30.

SM Entertainment's announcement demonstrates a strong commitment to protecting the trainees' privacy and serves as a warning to fans and the general public.
