
BTS's new song "SWIM" has recorded nearly twice as many streams on Spotify as the previous hit "Dynamite."
On the 26th, Spotify released a post titled "The BTS Effect" on its official social media, revealing that the number of users listening to BTS's music for the first time increased by more than 690% since the release of the fifth full album "ARIRANG" on the 20th. The title track "SWIM" was streamed 14,644,352 times on its first day, which is 1.3 times and 1.9 times higher than "Butter" and "Dynamite," respectively.
Immediately after the album release, songs from "ARIRANG" were added to personal playlists 11.7 million times. During the first week of the album release, BTS appeared a total of 260 times on various countries' and regions' "Daily Top Songs," "Daily Top Artists," and other "Top 50" charts. As of March 20, BTS ranked number one on the "Daily Top Artists" chart in 70 countries and regions.
After the "BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG" performance held on the 21st at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, album streaming increased by approximately 120%. The song "Mikrokosmos," performed at the concert, saw a 250% increase in streams within South Korea compared to the previous day.
According to the Circle Chart announcement on the 26th, "ARIRANG" ranked first in five categories during the 12th week (March 15–21): Album Chart, Retail Album Chart, Download Chart, V Coloring Chart, and Social Chart 3.0.
