The group Epik High revealed sincere conversations and deep friendships through a YouTube episode with BTS RM and Suga.
Epik High released a video titled "Are You Eating? ft. BTS RM, Suga" on their official YouTube channel 'EPIKASE.' For RM and Suga, who had returned from overseas schedules, Epik High prepared a heartfelt homemade meal. RM expressed his respect, saying, "These days, Gen Z thinks hyungs are YouTubers," and "If Epik High didn't exist, BTS wouldn't exist either." In response, Epik High drew a line by saying, "YouTube comes first for us." Missra, who was in charge of cooking, kept up the chef concept, joking, "They already think I'm a chef anyway," which brought laughter.
Seeing Epik High familiar with various memes, RM said, "I think I need to learn from you hyungs." Suga said, "It's surprising that this is a conversation between people in their 30s and 40s," which caused laughter. Epik High expressed affection by saying, "To us, you guys are always nineteen."
Tablo praised Suga's cooking skills, saying, "A year ago, Suga invited me and Haru and made tteokguk." Regarding the news that RM obtained his driver's license, he expressed regret, saying, "Didn't you form a lost driver alliance?" They enjoyed their time finding commonalities such as blood types and MBTI. RM made everyone laugh again by saying, "I don't know how far this spicy talk will go."
For BTS, who is preparing for the Stanford Stadium performance, Epik High recommended taking a group photo at the 'Crying Tree,' the filming location of the documentary about Tablo's academic fraud controversy. Tablo promised, "It's a good place to ward off bad luck," and said, "If we take a photo there, I will start working on my solo album."
While enjoying the meal prepared by Missra, Epik High looked back on BTS's history. Behind-the-scenes stories were revealed, including the first time they met Suga, who was a trainee in 2010; the story of seeing the full BTS group for the first time in the music show waiting room during the time Tablo was suffering from kidney stones in 2014; and the story of Suga texting Tablo before the live broadcast of the 2017 American Music Awards. RM and Suga raised the atmosphere with their candid talk.
Tablo evaluated BTS's comeback with 'Arirang,' saying, "Just deciding on the album title like that has an impact." RM said, "Since all of us are Korean, we had the idea to redefine our own Arirang." Tablo said, "It's even more meaningful that a globally loved group made that choice."
Epik High communicates with fans every week on 'EPIKASE' with various topics and guests.
