Singer and actress Nana is scheduled to appear in court as a witness regarding the home invasion robbery incident in which she was a victim.

The 1st Criminal Division of the Namyangju Branch of Uijeongbu District Court will hold the third trial on April 21 for a man in his 30s, Mr. A, who was arrested and indicted on charges of robbery and injury. Nana and her mother plan to attend the trial as witnesses, and at the request of the victim's side, the witness examination will be conducted privately.

The incident occurred on the morning of November 15 last year at Nana's residence located in Acheon-dong, Guri-si, Gyeonggi Province. Mr. A was charged with entering the home armed with a weapon, threatening Nana and her mother, and demanding valuables. At the time, Nana and her mother subdued the intruder after a physical struggle and reported the incident to the police. Both parties sustained injuries during the altercation, and Nana's mother lost consciousness due to severe injuries.

Mr. A admitted to entering the residence in court but denied the main charges of robbery intent and weapon use. He claimed he thought the house was empty and intended only to steal. He also filed a complaint against Nana for attempted murder and special injury, alleging he was injured, but the police ruled Nana's actions as self-defense and decided not to prosecute. Subsequently, Nana filed a counter-complaint against Mr. A for false accusation.

Nana's side stated, "The perpetrator shows no remorse for his crime, continues to make false claims such as repeatedly changing his testimony, and has filed a counter-suit against the victim."

The next trial is scheduled for April 21, during which the victim's testimony will be presented.
