
Actors Jang Hyun-sung and Jang Young-nam revealed anecdotes from their college days and their roles in the play "French Safe."
On the March 28 broadcast of MBN's "Kim Ju-ha's Day and Night," the two actors appeared to introduce the new comedy "French Safe," directed by Jang Jin, who presented the work after 10 years. They stated that the decisive factor in choosing the project was the opportunity to work with Shin Goo. Jang Hyun-sung emphasized the preciousness of sharing the stage with Shin Goo and expressed admiration for the rehearsal attitudes of his fellow actors.
The broadcast also shared stories from the actors' days at Seoul Institute of the Arts. Jang Hyun-sung recalled that Jang Young-nam was famous for being the most beautiful among several classes. He mentioned that she was called the "Lee Young-ae of Daehangno," sharing an impressive image from their school days. Jang Young-nam responded humbly, but the studio atmosphere showed agreement with the nickname.
Jang Young-nam said that Jang Hyun-sung's calm demeanor and unique style left a strong impression during their school days. Jang Hyun-sung added that he spent time in the creative writing club room during college, enjoying reading books and writing.
Jang Young-nam expressed being moved by Shin Goo's stage presence and showed respect for the senior's passion in perfectly memorizing the script even before rehearsals. Jang Hyun-sung also shared episodes from the script rehearsal process, conveying the efforts of the actors involved in the production.
The two actors are scheduled to appear together on stage in the play "French Safe."
