BTS member V revealed his father's dream of becoming an entertainer and his own growth process.
On the 29th, V appeared on the YouTube channel 'Fairy Jaehyung' and said that when he was entering middle school, his father encouraged him to attend an arts high school. At that time, V was considering majoring in an instrument and chose the saxophone, which had a lower competition rate, and studied it for four years, but he ultimately failed the saxophone major entrance exam. V said, "My father also dreamed of becoming an entertainer. He wanted to be a talent back then and worked as an FD at Daegu MBC," adding that while he achieved his dream, his father did not.
Regarding his childhood, V explained that he grew up with his grandparents in Geochang, while his parents lived in Geoje. He introduced Geochang as "a place that almost became a city but didn't," and recently mentioned that his photo is displayed on banners in Geochang. He also shared an anecdote about having dreams of becoming a singer and actor, but his grandmother pointed to Kang Dong-won on a banner and explained the standard of an entertainer. After hearing this, V temporarily put his dream aside but continued to challenge himself out of his love for music and the stage.
V recalled that when he danced as a child, he was happy to receive compliments and pocket money from those around him. He said, "I put my dream down for a while, but my passion for music and the stage continued."
Meanwhile, BTS, which V belongs to, made a full-group comeback after about 3 years and 9 months by releasing their 5th full album 'Arirang' on the 20th.
