Rookie actress An Seol-ah (25) made her debut on the small screen through the tvN drama "Undercover Miss Hong." She played the role of "Seol-ah," one of the three college graduate secretaries at Hanmin Securities, drawing viewers' attention through her confrontational dynamic with Park Shin-hye's character (Hong Geum-bo), who was undercover.

"Undercover Miss Hong" gained popularity, recording a peak viewership rating of 13.1% (Nielsen Korea nationwide standard), and An Seol-ah marked her debut as an actress with this work. After the drama ended, An Seol-ah met at the JTBC Enter News building in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where she expressed her passion for acting and her aspirations as an actress.

An Seol-ah watched the original broadcast with her family, and her parents did not hesitate to give feedback after each episode. She said her younger brother also expressed joy seeing his sister on TV, which was unusual for him. Regarding the audition process, she said, "At first, I auditioned for the role of 'Nora,' but the production team asked me to act 'without any potential,' so I changed my attitude and acted accordingly," adding that the director found it amusing. She evaluated that she passed by bringing out the charm of the character "Seol-ah."

About her acting chemistry with Park Shin-hye, An Seol-ah explained that she received specific advice from her senior on how to appear on camera and how to act realistically. She especially expressed gratitude, saying that Park Shin-hye carefully guided the juniors so they could stand out more. She also added that she learned a lot from the on-site attitudes of senior actors like Choi Ji-soo.

She also mentioned the chemistry among the three secretaries, including Lee Ye-na and Lee Soo-jung. The three maintained a close relationship throughout the filming by sharing acting concerns and daily stories through a group chat. They relied on each other on set and shared various episodes and nicknames.

An Seol-ah said the filming site of "Undercover Miss Hong" was full of consideration and warmth, realizing that a good set leads to good results. She also said she shed tears out of regret after the filming ended.

Currently enrolled in the Media and Video Acting Department at Sungshin Women's University, she revealed that she was an idol trainee in middle school and majored in practical dance but became interested in acting due to pressure and a period of stagnation in dance. She started acting seriously at an acting academy and explained that she still expresses herself through dance.

Looking ahead, she expressed her ambition to become an actress who connects people's emotions, like a translator. She also showed willingness to challenge herself in noir and action genres. She told viewers, "I want to describe myself as an actress with a lot of potential. Please watch my growth process."

In the future, An Seol-ah plans to continue her acting career and take on various roles.
