Insooni-Park Se-in to appear on 'Joseon's Lover'... Daughter Park Se-in reveals finger injury from LA accident

Singer Insooni and her daughter Park Se-in appeared together on TV Chosun's variety show "Joseon's Lover" to share the accident Park Se-in experienced and the story that followed.

Park Se-in graduated from Stanford University in the United States and, after interning at the global IT company Microsoft, was officially hired. She revealed that she started her internship in her junior year of college and worked at the headquarters after graduation. However, she had an unexpected accident during a business trip to LA. Park Se-in explained that while returning to the accommodation with her team members, she got out of the car to retrieve a bag from the trunk, and the vehicle suddenly reversed rapidly, causing her hand to get caught between the car and a wall.

Recalling the accident, Park Se-in said, "Everyone except the driver got out after parking the car. I also went to get a bag from the trunk, but the car suddenly reversed rapidly. There was a wall behind, and I was between the car and the wall. Only my hand got caught." She continued, "At that time, I shouted to call 119 quickly, and I don't remember anything from the ambulance onward. Before the surgery, the anesthesiologist was Korean. It was very scary, but that person calmed me down. I asked if it was okay to cut my wedding ring, and then they cut the ring," sharing the situation at the time.

After the surgery, Park Se-in learned that blood circulation in her fingers was not restored, and necrosis had begun. She returned to Korea a week later and underwent seven surgeries in the hand surgery department but had to have her left pinky finger amputated. During this process, Insooni and her husband also experienced great sorrow.

In an interview with the production team, Insooni said, "When my daughter said, 'Mom, I hurt my hand,' I didn't realize it was that serious. Even now, I feel so sorry and heartbroken for saying that. Looking at her finger, my heart felt like it was breaking." She added, "I didn't cry because I was afraid my daughter would have a harder time if I did. I can endure my own hardships, but I don't think I can endure anything related to my children. As long as she's okay, I don't care what happens to me," showing the tears she had held back.

Insooni's husband said, "If it had been the body or another part caught, the damage would have been greater. Although her hand is inconvenient now, it would have been harder if she had to lie down."

The broadcast also revealed Park Se-in's recent status, overcoming the ordeal and standing up again after the accident. "Joseon's Lover" aired at 10 p.m. on the 30th.
