Seungkwan of SEVENTEEN and Lee Know of Stray Kids shared a candid conversation about the subtle tension between seniors and juniors and the process of becoming a "Kkondae" (a slang term for a preachy or bossy older person).
In the first episode of the YouTube channel 117's 'Boo Seungkwan's Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo,' host Seungkwan opened up about his recent 'Kkondae worries.' Lee Know confessed, "Sometimes I find myself speaking informally to juniors, saying things like 'Good job, you can head out,' and I wonder if I'm turning into a Kkondae."
He added, "I can greet juniors I spent my trainee days with comfortably, but I'm cautious about how to approach juniors I’m meeting for the first time," highlighting the difficulties of being a senior.
The two also showed affection for the rising rookie group TWS. Seungkwan remarked, "The TWS members seem to find me a bit difficult, so the ice doesn't seem to break easily," but praised them by saying, "Their music is so good; I listen to it often." Lee Know agreed, saying, "TWS's songs are really great," showing a warm senior side that cares for K-POP juniors regardless of their agencies.
Fans who watched the video reacted enthusiastically, saying, "The '98-liner duo is so funny and great to see," "Seungkwan a Kkondae? I'd want to greet a senior like him every day," and "Both teams bragging about their new buildings is the highlight."
