Seoinyoung returns after 10 years... directly confronts malicious comments and controversies with 'Reformation'

Singer Seo In-young officially apologized through her YouTube channel and resumed her activities. Recently, Seo In-young released videos such as "Seo In-young Returns After 10 Years Reading Malicious Comments (Truth and Lies, Unprecedented Recent News)" and "Seo In-young's Deep Apology" on her YouTube channel "Reformed Seo In-young."

After a long hiatus, Seo In-young stood in front of the camera and directly addressed malicious comments and past controversies. She explained the reason for her comeback, saying, "I thought a lot every time a broadcast offer came in," and added, "Being honest is my strength, and I thought YouTube was a way to show my true feelings." Regarding the channel name, she said, "My parents might be upset, but it's important to acknowledge mistakes and make efforts."

She also addressed past controversies regarding her attitude and criticism about greeting juniors. Seo In-young admitted, "I think I was crazy. It's so embarrassing to look back now," and said, "I think I said whatever came to mind because I was angry. I lost in a power struggle." She also acknowledged, "I have a habit of speaking informally," and "I lacked emotional control." About the 2017 swearing controversy, she apologized, saying, "I have never watched that video even once," and "It was wrong of me to swear like that." She explained the situation at the time of the incident, saying, "I was sleeping on the floor and waiting for nine hours. I was taking medication for depression and panic disorder. I felt like I was going crazy," and added, "The other person was a close manager." She revealed that she took a break for several years after the incident while taking medication for panic disorder and depression, confessing, "I didn't want to live." She said she could no longer make excuses after her father said, "It came out of your mouth," and concluded, "In the end, it's all my responsibility."

Recently, she released a shorts video with the concept of a deep apology. In the video, Seo In-young wore a white shroud and braided her hair while bowing and acting as if receiving poison. She said, "I will reform, so please subscribe." The video featured a song with the repeated lyrics "I'm sorry." Despite the deep apology concept, she maintained long nails and high heels.

Seo In-young had a long hiatus after the 2017 Dubai power abuse controversy and announced her comeback by launching a YouTube channel last month. In the "Reading Malicious Comments" video, she explained, "I was wrong for swearing, but the power abuse is not true. After sleeping on the outdoor ground for 10 hours, I had to wait another 9 hours, so I was really going crazy. Since it's not just my issue, I cannot explain the incident in detail." Regarding past attitude controversies and SNS attack posts, she publicly apologized, saying, "I was crazy. It's so embarrassing."

Meanwhile, Seo In-young married a businessman six years older than her in 2023 but divorced after about a year. She said, "There was someone who loved me so much that I thought I could live an ordinary life without doing this work, so I wanted to disappear quietly," and added, "People said from the wedding day that we would get divorced. Since there is the other person's position, I am cautious about sharing specific details, but I think I have learned about life through this series of events."
