The member THE8 of the group Seventeen has released his self-composed song "四月的漂流 (April Draft)."

Pledis Entertainment announced on the 1st, "THE8 has released '四月的漂流 (April Draft)' through Soda Music, a music platform under China's Douyin." The song was first unveiled on Soda Music at midnight on the 1st (local time, 1 a.m. KST on the 1st) and will be available on global music platforms such as Melon, YouTube, and Spotify starting from the 2nd.

"四月的漂流 (April Drift)" is a bedroom pop genre track that delicately captures emotions changing like the passing seasons. The lyrics, which compare the process of love and breakup to April, are a distinctive feature, and THE8 personally participated in writing and composing the song. The agency stated, "He has proven an expanded musical spectrum."

Since his debut, THE8 has consistently demonstrated his creative abilities. Previously, he topped major Chinese music charts with the digital single "Star Crossing Night (feat. GALI)" and has released songs in various genres such as "Dreams Come True," "Namak," "Side by Side," and "Comet." Last year, he released his first Chinese EP "STARDUST," earning credits on all tracks. He also introduced the "THE 8 Contemporary ART" project, which expresses his emotions and perspectives through art.

THE8 is scheduled to appear as a headliner at the "MIDOU MUSIC FESTIVAL" held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, on the 2nd of next month. Seventeen will hold the "SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] ENCORE" concert at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on the 4th and 5th.
