Singer Hong Seo-beom and Jo Gap-kyung officially apologized for their son's affair controversy, while a person presumed to be the former daughter-in-law, A, criticized Jo Gap-kyung's appearance on a broadcast.

On the 1st, A mentioned Jo Gap-kyung's appearance on MBC's entertainment program "Radio Star" through her social media, stating, "Your son had an affair and ruined someone's life, leaving them to die, yet you appear on TV so well." She added, "You know he is still seeing the person he had an affair with. It seems you have no intention of seeing your granddaughter."

A said, "You were wrong. You ignored it," and asked, "Is it over now just because you pay child support? What about my wounds?" She also said, "My child's family," and repeatedly demanded an apology, saying, "Please reflect properly and apologize." Furthermore, she claimed, "You should have said a word earlier. If you had, my anger might have eased a little, but you made things worse."

A also stated, "I have to see you on TV again. The victim continues to live in pain like this."

Earlier, A claimed through the YouTube channel "Garo Sero Research Institute" that Hong Seo-beom's son, B, had an affair during the marriage and that child support was not being properly paid. B worked as a contract teacher and married A, with whom he was in a common-law relationship. It is known that he had an affair and left home shortly after A became pregnant.

The court recognized B's fault in September last year and ordered him to pay 30 million KRW in alimony and 800,000 KRW monthly in child support. The appeal trial is currently underway.
