Travel creator Wonji recently posted on social media what seemed to be news of a 13kg weight loss, but it was revealed that the post was an April Fools' joke.
On the 1st, Wonji shared photos on her social media showing her traveling around the world and tasting various foods, along with the phrase "Breaking news: lost 13kg, crazy." One of the photos showed her holding five hamburgers on a tray at a fast-food restaurant. Fans were curious about whether Wonji was really dieting, but a netizen commented, "That's right, today is April Fools'," revealing it was a joke. Following this, various reactions appeared online, such as "I spent a long time trying to figure out where she lost 13kg," and "I almost lost my humanity." Wonji also interacted with fans by commenting, "(Losing 13kg) is a wish," and "I haven't even lost 1kg yet."
Last November, Wonji stirred controversy by releasing a video titled "Looking for a 6-pyeong office" on her YouTube channel, highlighting poor office conditions. After posting an apology statement and video, she temporarily halted her activities, and some subscribers canceled their subscriptions, causing her to lose the milestone of 1 million subscribers.
Meanwhile, Wonji announced her marriage last January, and in February, she resumed her YouTube activities by posting a video of her trip to Nepal three months after the controversy, along with a message on social media saying, "It's been a long time. I missed you so much."
