The8 of Seventeen has released his self-composed song "四月的漂流 (April Drift)."

Pledis Entertainment announced on the 1st that "四月的漂流 (April Drift)" was pre-released at midnight (local time, 1 a.m. KST on the 1st) on SODA MUSIC, a music platform under China's Douyin (DOUYIN). The song will be available on global music sites such as Melon, YouTube, and Spotify starting from the 2nd.

"四月的漂流 (April Drift)" is a bedroom pop track that delicately captures emotions changing like the flow of seasons. The8 personally participated in the lyrics and composition of this song. It features a lyrical melody, restrained expression, and lyrics that compare the process of love and breakup to the month of April.

Previously, The8 released the digital single "Star Crossing Night (feat. GALI)," which ranked first on major Chinese music charts. He has also continued various creative activities through the Chinese EP "STARDUST" and "THE 8 Contemporary ART" project, where he is credited on all tracks.

Meanwhile, The8 will perform as a headliner at the "MIDOU MUSIC FESTIVAL" held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, on the 2nd of next month. Prior to that, on the 4th and 5th, he will perform with Seventeen members at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium for the "SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR 'NEW_' ENCORE" concert.
