JTBC's new drama "Human X Gumiho" has confirmed its main cast, including Jun Ji-hyun and Ji Chang-wook, raising viewers' expectations.

"Human X Gumiho" is an unknown (x) fantasy romantic comedy about a human who attracts supernatural beings and a creature that charms humans meeting at the crossroads of fate. The project is a collaboration between director Kim Jung-sik and writer Im Me-a-ri. Director Kim Jung-sik has received acclaim for works such as "I Hate Losing" and "Strong Woman Kang Nam-soon," while writer Im Me-a-ri gained popularity in the romantic comedy genre with "One Day, Destruction Came to Our Front Door" and "The Beauty Inside."

In this work, Jun Ji-hyun plays Gu Ja-hong, a 2,000-year-old gumiho, transforming into a top actress with the talent to charm people and a beautiful appearance. Jun Ji-hyun shared, "Since we have an excellent director, writer, staff, and cast gathered, we will all work with one heart and one mind to present a great performance to the viewers."

Ji Chang-wook appears as Choi Seok, a skilled shaman and director of the Oseong Museum. He is a character with a special ability to see and feel the harshness of the world and undergoes unexpected changes through his encounter with the gumiho. Ji Chang-wook said, "This work highlights not only the chemistry between humans and gumiho but also the witty interactions among the characters. The script, which makes you curious about the next story as the episodes progress, was very attractive, and the story of Choi Seok and Ja-hong was truly fascinating. We are enjoying filming, so please show lots of interest and support."

Cha Ju-young plays Ji Woo-kyung, CEO of Woo Kyung Entertainment, the only person who knows Gu Ja-hong's true identity, and Kang Yoo-seok plays Go Tae-seung, deputy director of the Oseong Museum and a longtime friend of Choi Seok. Kim Jong-soo appears as Man-gwan, Choi Seok's grandfather, and Kim Min-seok plays Beom-i, the tiger of Inwangsan.

Special appearances include Hwang In-yeop as Sam-i, the gumiho's natural enemy, and Kim Seol-hyun and Lee Jae-in as the yokai Yeon-i and Bang-sang, respectively, adding vitality to the drama.

"Human X Gumiho" will air on JTBC in the first half of 2027 and will be released worldwide through Amazon Prime.
