
Singer Lim Young Woong continues to make donations for children with pediatric cancer and rare incurable diseases. On the 2nd, the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation announced that Lim Young Woong donated 2 million won, the prize money won at the March King of Songs competition, to support medical care expenses for children undergoing treatment. This donation was made possible by the consistent support and participation of the fandom 'Hero Era,' emphasizing that the donation was created through the sincerity and encouragement of the fans.
The prize money delivered in the name of Lim Young Woong will be used for various expenses such as hospitalization fees, medication costs, additional treatment-related expenses, and living expenses for families struggling with sudden medical bills. The foundation explained that this will help reduce the burden on families who must manage both treatment and daily living expenses simultaneously. Hong Seung-yoon, director of the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation, stated, "The continuous sharing by Lim Young Woong and Hero Era has become the greatest support for children fighting illness," and added, "The precious donations received will be used transparently so that the children can continue their treatment without losing hope."
Lim Young Woong has been steadily engaging in donation activities through the fan participation platform Seonhan Star, and the foundation revealed that the total accumulated donation amount, including this contribution, has reached 124.02 million won. Meanwhile, Lim Young Woong is scheduled to hold a solo concert titled 'IM HERO - THE STADIUM 2' at Goyang Sports Complex in September.
