DAY6's Wonpil is increasing engagement with his album through various promotions for his new solo mini-album 1st 'Unpiltered'. This album is a new work released about four years after his solo debut work 'Pilmography' in February 2022, expressing various emotions Wonpil has felt through music.

The title track 'Love Ward' was written and composed by Wonpil himself, conveying a desperate wish for salvation amid the pain of undying love. The song features an emotional guitar melody in the intro, and in the latter part, a band sound combined with a powerful high-pitched vocal leaves a strong impression. In the music video, Wonpil's restrained emotional acting effectively delivers the song's message.

The album includes a total of seven tracks, including the title track, 'Toxic Love', 'I Have Become an Adult', 'Up All Night', 'Step by Step', 'Not a Million Flowers', and 'Piano'. All tracks entered the Melon Top 100 chart on the day of release, receiving high attention from music fans. The new release ranked first on the Circle Chart daily album chart on the 30th and the Hanteo Chart daily album chart on the 31st.

To commemorate the album release, Wonpil also prepared various events. Before the official release, from March 27 to 29, a listening popup 'WONPIL : Unpiltered Layers' was held in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, featuring a listening zone, an album-related photo exhibition, and a soap gift personally scented by Wonpil, offering a synesthetic experience encompassing sight, hearing, and smell. On April 5, through the Sing-Along Day event, he plans to complete the album together with the fandom 'My Day'. Following that, from May 1 to 3, he will hold a solo concert 'WONPIL SOLO CONCERT 'Unpiltered'' at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul.

Through this album, Wonpil is continuing his musical activities while strengthening his bond with fans.
