Singer Lee Chan-won is scheduled to perform on the stage at the opening ceremony of the 64th Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival.

This year's Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival will be jointly hosted by Andong City and Yecheon County from April 3 to 6. This is the first time the two regions are holding the event together. The opening ceremony will take place on the first day of the festival at the Saemaeul Square in the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government building, featuring official programs such as the opening performance, athlete parade, congratulatory speeches, oath-taking, and torch lighting. After the opening ceremony, various artists including Lee Chan-won, Norazo, Jang Min-ho, and Hi-Key will perform celebratory shows.

Lee Chan-won has previously performed at the congratulatory stages of the 60th and 62nd festivals, including this one. He spent his school years in Daegu and Sangju and continued his university life in Gyeongsan. During the Gyeongbuk regional wildfire disaster in 2025, he donated 100 million won to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association.

Meanwhile, Lee Chan-won completed his nationwide tour concert "Changa: A Brilliant Day," which started in Seoul last December, in seven cities including Daegu, Incheon, Busan, Jinju, Gwangju, and Daejeon. He plans to hold encore performances at the KSPO DOME in Seoul on May 9 and 10.
