ILLIT releases 3rd single in Japan, 'Bubee'... Selected as the opening theme for the anime 'Magical Sisters Lulutory'

The group ILLIT released their Japanese digital single "Bubee" at midnight on the 6th. Their agency Believe Lab announced that this single, featuring ILLIT members Yoona, Moka, Minju, Wonhee, and Iroha, is a dance pop genre combining J-pop and Shibuya-kei subculture sensibilities. "Bubee" is inspired by the word "Buddy," meaning colleague and friend, conveying the message that you can do anything when you are with your loved ones. The lyrics were written by Japanese singer-songwriter noa, and the choreography was created by choreographer Makida Sako. The "Bubee" choreography includes easy-to-follow moves like making a heart shape, making it popular as a dance challenge song.

This song was used as the opening theme for the Japanese TV anime "Magical Sisters Lulutoriri," which premiered on the 5th. "Magical Sisters Lulutoriri" is a new work by Studio Pierrot, known for producing the "Magical Girl" series since 1983. ILLIT said, "To bring out the cute and fresh charm fitting for an anime theme song, we imagined ourselves as 'magical girls' and recorded with bright smiles," adding, "In line with the theme of 'Bubee,' we have prepared a dance challenge that can be enjoyed with friends, lovers, and family, so we hope everyone will join in."

ILLIT is preparing to release their fourth mini-album "MAMIHLAPINATAPAI" on the 30th.
