On the April 6th broadcast of SBS's 'No, But Really,' comedian Shin Dong-yup appeared and mentioned his past experience of appearing on a show with his former lover Lee So-ra.
Sang-min Lee referred to Shin Dong-yup's appearance on a show with his ex-girlfriend, model Lee So-ra, saying, "This is the first time Shin Dong-yup has done a show like this. His ex-girlfriend is in the same field." In response, Shin Dong-yup joked, "You are qualified to talk about this." Tak Jae-hoon said, "Usually, when a man and woman break up after dating, there aren't many who part on good terms. Love has ended. They try not to see each other again."
Shin Dong-yup explained, "This is a part of my life before I met my wife, a trajectory, a page in my life. I don't think there's a need to tear that page out. The next page is turning." When Tak Jae-hoon asked, "Does that mean you can open it again after turning the page?" Shin Dong-yup replied, "No. It was the first time I saw her in 25 years since we broke up."
Additionally, Shin Dong-yup said, "Some people might find it uncomfortable to watch, but I'm not encouraging it; it just could be that way. It's not an embarrassing or wrong past." Su-ji Lee recalled Lee So-ra's appearance on 'SNL,' saying, "Ji-ye-eun and I were so moved that young men and women met again as wonderful adults that we cried."
Shin Dong-yup also revealed that his wife, PD Sun Hye-yoon, was a fan of Lee So-ra. He said, "My wife liked Lee So-ra so much that she wondered what kind of charm she had to meet someone like her. She said it helped increase her favorability toward me."
