It was revealed that Kim Jung-tae's son, Ji-hoo, was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome in a comprehensive psychological test.
On the 6th, the TV Chosun variety show "Dad and Me" released a pre-release video titled "Kim Jung-tae's Son Ji-hoo's Asperger Diagnosis Result" on YouTube. The video showed the process of Kim Jung-tae and his wife visiting a hospital to check the possibility of Ji-hoo entering high school and living in a dormitory. Kim Jung-tae's wife said, "We are on the way to ask an expert whether Ji-hoo can live well on his own," adding, "He has to go to high school, and since he wants to attend a school with a dormitory, we decided to get a diagnosis this time."
Before the test, Ji-hoo expressed his nervousness, saying, "I feel like my mind will break. I don't want someone else to know about me." In response, Kim Jung-tae reassured him, saying, "This is not a counseling session to shock you. It's not because you have a disease; it's just a check-up."
After arriving at the hospital, Ji-hoo began the psychological test in earnest. The doctor in charge explained, "The results indicate that he falls under Asperger's syndrome." He added, "Whether Ji-hoo will disclose that he has Asperger's or not will be an issue."
The doctor also said, "We conducted various tests and found some notable points," adding, "Among about 7,000 to 8,000 children, Ji-hoo is the first to complete this test so perfectly and quickly." He further evaluated Ji-hoo as a "top 0.5% level genius." Kim Jung-tae showed a surprised reaction to his son's test results.
Meanwhile, TV Chosun's "Dad and Me" airs every Wednesday at 10 p.m.
