BTS V's solo song featuring him, "Wherever U R," has been selected as the official soundtrack for Season 3 of the Netflix series "XO, Kitty." The song gained attention on global charts once again through the series released on April 2.

"Wherever U R" was released on December 30, 2023, to coincide with V's birthday and centers on the theme of love with someone far away. V's unique soft vocal tone added warmth to the song's cozy atmosphere. Coupled with the situation at the time when he could not be with fans for a while due to his military enlistment, the song held even more special meaning for fans.

"XO, Kitty" is a spin-off of the Netflix film "To All the Boys I've Loved Before," and is a high-teen romance drama about the love, family, and growth of Kitty, an American teenager studying abroad at a prestigious boarding school in Seoul.

After the drama's release, "Wherever U R" re-entered Shazam charts in countries including the United States and Canada, as well as the global Shazam chart, drawing attention. Umi, who also participated in the vocals, said, "V wanted to release this song on his birthday, December 30, and I thought there must be a reason he trusted me with this song. He truly puts his heart into his fans and music. What strongly comes to mind is that because V thought of his fans and everyone who listens to his music as he enlisted in the military, this song was made so that people could like it."

V's solo song "FRI(END)S" was also used as background music for Season 3 of the Amazon Prime Video series "The Summer I Turned Pretty," which began airing on July 16 last year. V is praised for showcasing emotional vocals in domestic and international drama OSTs based on his wide vocal range and deep voice tone, enhancing the emotional line of the dramas.
