Yang Sang-guk, who appeared on the YouTube channel "Alddalddalhan Chamgyeon," revealed an episode with Heo Kyung-hwan at his father's funeral.
Yang Sang-guk recalled the time three years ago when his father passed away, saying that even though it was difficult to visit the funeral hall due to COVID-19, his colleagues stayed until dawn. He said, "Heo Kyung-hwan also stayed until dawn," and shared that Heo Kyung-hwan said, "Meeting all the colleagues, it's a good day," to which he replied, "Hyung, it's not really a good day." He added that Heo Kyung-hwan immediately apologized.
Yang Sang-guk also requested, "Hyung, since my father is leaving for the last time, please say a catchphrase," and Heo Kyung-hwan responded, "Your father is going to a good place~ Isn't this the taste of going to a good place~ I said this." Yang Sang-guk explained that even colleagues like Kim Won-hyo, who don't have catchphrases, all said catchphrases. Heo Kyung-hwan said, "While doing it, I wondered if it was right to do this, but since Sang-guk told me to do it, I did." Yang Sang-guk mentioned, "I felt proud of that."
In the broadcast that day, Yang Sang-guk recalled the KBS show "Gag Concert" and said about Heo Kyung-hwan, "He is the worst comedian to work with." He said, "It's difficult to structure the 'Gag Concert' corners. You have to decide what character each person will play within that structure, but Heo Kyung-hwan only comes up with catchphrases. It's funny, but you have to figure out where to put them in the context."
