Ju Ji-hoon returns to a king role in 'The Second Husband'... Reveals the reason for Byun Woo-seok's cameo cancellation himself

Ju Ji-hoon, the lead actor of ENA's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Climax,' revealed behind-the-scenes stories about his missed meeting with Byun Woo-seok during an interview.

Ju Ji-hoon, who plays prosecutor Bang Tae-seop in 'Climax,' is preparing for the release of the Disney+ original series 'The Second Husband' as his next project. 'The Second Husband' is a romantic fantasy epic about Navi (Shin Min-a), the empress of the Dongdae Empire, who is notified of a divorce by Emperor Sobieshu (Ju Ji-hoon) and demands permission to remarry Prince Heinley (Lee Jong-suk) of the Western Kingdom.

Ju Ji-hoon is returning to a 'king' role once again, following his past role in MBC's 'Goong.' At the same time, MBC's new drama '21st Century Grand Lady,' which is set in a fictional world similar to 'Goong,' is also premiering, drawing attention.

In the interview, when asked if he plans to pass the throne to Byun Woo-seok, the lead actor of '21st Century Grand Lady,' Ju Ji-hoon replied, "I won't pass it on. How could I? I have 'The Second Husband'." He added, "Actually, Jun-hwan hyung (the director of '21st Century Grand Lady') called me asking for a cameo, and I said, 'I'll do it!' but then thought to myself, 'I have 'The Second Husband,' so I probably can't.' He's a very nice and cheerful director, so I think the work turned out well."

Regarding the release date of 'The Second Husband,' Ju Ji-hoon said, "As far as I know, it will be in the second half of this year," expressing expectations for viewer engagement given that it is based on an original work.
