Monsta X appears on US 'Good Morning America' for the first time in 6 years... First to record 3 albums in the UK

Monsta X reaffirmed their position in the global music market by appearing on ABC's flagship morning show, Good Morning America (GMA). They took the same stage for the first time in about six years to celebrate the release of their third English studio album in the U.S., Unfold.

On this broadcast, Monsta X performed the title track "heal" live for the first time. The members expressed confidence, saying, "This album is filled with songs of various styles, focusing on vocals and sincere emotional expression," and added, "It's a masterpiece with no skips." Additionally, the North American tour schedule was revealed before the broadcast, raising fans' expectations. The members said, "We think we can show a new side of Monsta X," and "If you're curious about what kind of music and performances we will present, please be sure to come to the concerts."

Unfold carries the meaning of "unfolding folded emotions," capturing the process of facing emotional cracks and choosing healing and growth through a total of 10 tracks in genres such as R&B, pop, hip-hop, and alternative pop. The title track "heal" is a soulful pop song blending heavy bass and orchestral strings, delivering a message of love and recovery. The track "baby blue," included in the album, was first revealed during the 2025 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour.

With this album, Monsta X set a record as the first K-pop artist to release three English studio albums. Billboard, a U.S. music media outlet, stated, "Monsta X set a record as the first K-pop group to release three English studio albums," and praised them for "continuously crossing borders and showing determination toward the global market." The achievements of their previous English albums, The Dreaming and All About Luv, entering the Billboard 200 main album chart were also highlighted again.

Forbes reported, "Even in their 11th year since debut, they maintain their Korean identity while expanding the boundaries of the Western music market." Regarding the "heal" music video, they evaluated it as "effectively conveying feelings of pain and loss through symbolic direction." The U.S. entertainment program Access Hollywood shared the passionate response from global fans about the new release.

Monsta X is currently on the 2026 Monsta X World Tour [The X: Nexus] and is scheduled to perform in Jakarta, Indonesia, on the 18th.
