About a month after leaving Enhypen, Heeseung opened a personal Instagram account and officially announced his solo activities under the new stage name 'Evan.'

On the 8th, Heeseung posted a close-up image of a part of his body and a profile video staring straight ahead on Instagram. The post included the word 'Evan,' signaling his new name as a solo artist. In the released photos, he appeared pure and innocent wearing a white T-shirt with a bare face, and various portrait cuts featured his eyes, hands, face, and arms wrapped around his face.

Belift Lab announced on the 10th of last month that Heeseung had left the team and stated, "Heeseung will be pursuing activities as a solo artist independently." Accordingly, Enhypen was reorganized into a six-member group consisting of Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunwoo, and NI-KI. Belift Lab added, "We had conversations about each member's future and the direction of the team, and through that process, we confirmed that Heeseung's musical aspirations are clear."

He also expressed his feelings during a video call event, saying, "You must have been really surprised, but I am okay. Still, I feel a little sorry in some ways."
