BTS opens world tour 'ARIRANG' in Goyang... 85 performances in 34 cities, the most by a Korean artist

BTS will kick off the 'BTS WORLD TOUR ARIRANG' at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on the 9th, 11th, and 12th. This world tour will take place in a total of 85 shows across 34 cities, starting from Goyang and continuing to Tokyo, North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. It is reported that all 46 shows, including those in North America and Europe, have sold out.

The tour will feature songs from the new album 'Arirang' along with many beloved hit tracks. The performances on a 360-degree stage will offer the audience a new experience through various productions and performances. RM said, "I hope the entire venue feels like one huge club," and Jin added, "Using all directions as the front will provide a unique fun." Suga stated, "There are many show-like productions, so it will be enjoyable to watch." J-Hope mentioned, "The production gives a feeling of watching a show, and the aesthetic expressing Korea is an interesting point." Jimin emphasized, "We put extra effort into the production so it can be enjoyed visually as well." V said, "The songs and the structure themselves are solid, so we can confidently present them."

BTS will hold solo concerts as the first Korean artist at five stadiums in North America: El Paso Sun Bowl Stadium, Stanford Stadium, Foxborough Gillette Stadium, Baltimore M&T Bank Stadium, and Arlington AT&T Stadium, as well as in South America at Estadio El Campín in Bogotá, Colombia; Estadio Único de La Plata in Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Estadio Nacional in Santiago, Chile. Additional shows are also planned in Japan and the Middle East.

The Trademark Special Judicial Police of the Korean Intellectual Property Office announced that they will conduct crackdowns on counterfeit goods near the venues and run campaigns to block the distribution of counterfeit products that unlawfully use the artists' trademark rights and to promote a culture of respecting intellectual property.

The members shared their thoughts ahead of the world tour. RM said, "It still doesn't feel real. Before I know it, I'll be on stage. Preparing for a 360-degree performance wasn't easy, but once it starts, it will be really fun. Above all, I'm very excited to hold the mic again and meet ARMYs around the world after a long time." Jin said, "We all agree that concerts are the most important thing for singers. We want to meet audiences worldwide as soon as possible, and since it's our first world tour in a while, we want to personally feel the culture and atmosphere of each region." Suga said, "Since I was young, I've thought concerts are the most important thing for singers, and I still feel the same. All the members are really looking forward to this world tour. We ask for your great interest and expectations." J-Hope said, "World tours are always fun and happy. Since it's a festival with ARMYs worldwide, we are preparing with joy this time as well." Jimin said, "We've done many performances so far, but this time we want to show a completely different stage. It's definitely a big challenge, but I hope you look forward to it." V said, "Since it's been a while since our last tour, I was worried I might have lost my touch, so I prepared several times harder. Please look forward to it, and we want to show you everything we've prepared." Jungkook said, "I want to get on stage soon. I'm really looking forward to it, and thinking about meeting the audience directly after a long time makes me very excited. Since we prepared hard, I want to enjoy the show together with everyone as soon as possible."
