Taemin, a member of SHINee and a solo singer, will take the stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (Coachella) held in Indio, California. Taemin is scheduled to perform a solo show on the Mojave Stage for 50 minutes starting at 7:30 PM on both April 11 and 18 (local time).
Taemin is the first Korean male solo artist to be included in the official Coachella lineup and to present a solo stage. While K-pop artists have participated in Coachella mainly as groups such as Black Pink, ATEEZ, and LE SSERAFIM, Taemin is preparing his performance based on his 18 years of experience as an artist.
The Mojave Stage is known as a venue suitable for showcasing an artist's individuality and musical depth. On this stage, Taemin plans to debut new songs that have not been revealed in previous performances, along with a medley of his hit songs. The organizers selected Taemin as an "artist you must see this year."
Earlier, on April 1, Taemin appeared on the American talk show The Jennifer Hudson Show to get a feel for the local atmosphere. This Coachella stage marks Taemin's first major global activity since moving to the AI entertainment tech company Galaxy Corporation.
Galaxy Corporation stated, "With Taemin's infinite artistic spectrum, he is preparing a stage that is more than just a performance but a work of art," adding, "It will be an opportunity to imprint the true essence of Taemin as an artist on fans worldwide."
In addition to Taemin, groups Big Bang and Cats Eye are included in this year's Coachella lineup, and Taemin's stage will be broadcast live worldwide through the official YouTube channel and other platforms.
