In episode 26 of the MBN variety show 'Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 3,' actor On Joo-wan revealed the process of dating and marrying Girl's Day's Mina.

The broadcast featured Jeon Hyun-moo, Kwak Tube (Kwak Jun-bin), and On Joo-wan together. On Joo-wan met Mina for the first time through a project, and the two got married last November after five years of dating. On Joo-wan stated that they did not have a secret relationship during their dating period, saying, "We didn't really keep it a secret; we held hands and walked around openly." He added, "There were no articles at all," which surprised the cast.

Regarding his first meeting with Mina, On Joo-wan explained, "Mina played the lead role of Gong Shim, and I played a character who liked Mina," adding that he was 34 years old at the time, Mina was 24, and there was a 10-year age difference. They reunited in a musical in 2020, and On Joo-wan recalled, "Mina wanted to do musicals, so I told her to audition. She auditioned and got the role."

About the start of their relationship, On Joo-wan said, "We practiced for 10 hours and then started dating," revealing that he confessed first. When Jeon Hyun-moo asked if he couldn't hold back his confession, On Joo-wan replied, "Why should I hold back?" He continued, "I felt like I had developed feelings, so after practice when everyone was there, I confessed." He added, "Everyone was acting, and only Mina could hear me," saying, "I confessed, 'Mina, I think I like you.'"
