Comedian Lee Jin-ho collapsed due to an acute cerebral hemorrhage and is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit, while it has been reported that he is facing difficulties paying hospital bills due to unpaid health insurance premiums.

On April 1, Lee Jin-ho suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed at his home, after which he was urgently transported to the emergency room of a hospital in Seoul. He was then moved to the intensive care unit for intensive treatment. His agency SM C&C stated that his condition is "not life-threatening," but the YouTube channel 'Entertainment President Lee Jin-ho' reported that "his condition is practically not good."

Lee Jin-ho had withdrawn from all entertainment programs after being revealed to have been involved in illegal gambling charges in October 2024 and a drunk driving incident last September. Due to illegal gambling, he incurred debts amounting to hundreds of millions of won, leading him to suspend his entertainment activities. As a result, his income stopped, and it was also revealed that he had unpaid health insurance premiums of about 28 million won since April 2023. Because of this, he is currently unable to receive health insurance benefits during his hospital treatment.

Lee Jin-ho stated, "I am very sorry to those who trusted me and lent me money. I promise to repay the debts left to me no matter what happens." Additionally, at the time of the drunk driving incident, his blood alcohol concentration was 0.11%, which is at the level for license cancellation. He was booked by the police for driving about 100 km from Incheon to Yangpyeong County, Gyeonggi Province, and was sent to the prosecution on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act. His agency SM C&C expressed, "We are deeply sorry and regretful to deliver such unfortunate news," and added, "We have completed the investigation requested by the local police station at the time of the incident and are currently awaiting the disposition."

Currently, Lee Jin-ho has been in the intensive care unit for nine days, with hospital bills continuing to increase. His older brother is making efforts to raise the hospital fees, but it has been reported that they are short even for the immediate payment of hospital bills. Lee Jin-ho debuted in 2005 as a comedian through SBS special recruitment and has appeared in various entertainment programs such as 'Woong's Father.'
