Hip-hop musician Jo Neul, the second son of actress Youn Yuh-jung, revealed his face for the first time through his official channel.

Jo Neul appeared on a YouTube channel run by American sociologist Sam Richard and conducted an interview in LA Koreatown. Richard introduced Jo Neul as a consultant and artist who built his career based on hip-hop music.

In the interview, Jo Neul revealed that he is a Korean American living in the United States, explaining that he grew up in Korea, attended a foreign school, moved to the U.S. after entering college, and has been living in LA as an adult. He said, "As I got older, I felt that I am closer to being an American of Korean descent rather than a Korean American." He also said, "The way I grew up and my school life are completely different from Koreans who grew up in LA," adding, "I realized the differences as I adapted and learned here."

Jo Neul added that when he stayed in New York, he was young and did not know much about the life of Korean Americans, but over time, meeting various people made him recognize that his experience is very different from that of Koreans who grew up in LA.

There was also talk about his mother, Youn Yuh-jung. When Richard mentioned that Jo Neul's mother is a famous actress, he asked to see a photo, and after seeing it, he reacted, "Wait a minute. Was this person your mother?" He then said that Jo Neul showed the typical Korean modest attitude. Regarding this, Jo Neul said, "Korea values humility. My mother is a really famous actress and also an Oscar winner. I am very proud of my mother."

Meanwhile, Youn Yuh-jung mentioned in the 2022 tvN variety show "Unexpected Journey" that her second son is involved in hip-hop music.
