Kim Shin-young recently mentioned that she has gained weight.
In the preview for episode 524 of JTBC's variety show "Knowing Bros," Kim Shin-young appeared opening the classroom door to a warm welcome from Kang Ho-dong. When Kang Ho-dong said, "When you transferred back then, you came back a little, but today you've completely come back," Kim Shin-young replied, "I've completely come back."
In the preview, Kim Shin-young welcomed guests Ye Ji-won, Park Ha-sun, and Jung Bo-suk with the voice of Lee Gye-in, who played Mo Pal-mo in "Jumong." She also suggested sparring to Jung Bo-suk, saying, "Boseong, let's do some boxing after a long time," to celebrate her first transfer.
Kim Shin-young had maintained her figure for about 13 years without yo-yo effects after losing approximately 44 kg, but recently revealed that she has experienced yo-yo weight gain. On the April 10 broadcast of MBC's "I Live Alone," she mentioned an anecdote with Professor Jeon Yoo-sung, explaining, "The professor said, 'Hey Shin-young, I really want to eat jjambbong, but I can't. You shouldn't hold back either; live eating what you want deliciously.' That became the reason. I ate a lot because I thought, 'Since it's me, I have to love myself,' even if I gained weight."
