In episode 524 of the JTBC variety show "Knowing Bros," titled "Danjong and the Teacher," actor Jung Tae-woo, Lee Min-woo, and Korean history instructor Seol Min-seok appeared. In the broadcast, Jung Tae-woo and Lee Min-woo commented on Park Ji-hoon's acting.
Jung Tae-woo said he felt Park Ji-hoon's gaze was special starting from "Weak Hero." He added, "It was sad yet warm, and there was a scary charisma within. It resembled me a bit." He also mentioned that he watched "The King and the Living Man" and praised Park Ji-hoon for well portraying a character with royal blood compared to when he first played Danjong at age 12. He said, "Rather than silence, he wanted to appeal and do something for the country. Those aspects were very well captured. The friendship portrayed was deeper than family, so I enjoyed watching it."
Lee Min-woo spoke about Park Ji-hoon's preparation for acting, saying, "Actors usually film for more than three months, and maintaining physical and mental condition from the start to the end of filming is not easy. But I heard he artificially prepared and matched that, so I thought he was an amazing friend."
Meanwhile, the movie "The King and the Living Man" is set in Cheongryeongpo in 1457 and depicts the story of a village chief who voluntarily exiled himself for the village's revival and a young former king who was dethroned and exiled. The film surpassed 16 million cumulative viewers, ranking second in domestic box office history and first in cumulative revenue. Park Ji-hoon played the role of Danjong Lee Hong-wi in the film, earning the nickname "Danjong Oppa."
