Kim Seo-yeon Confesses to Jeonse Fraud Victimization on 'Robubu'... "Claims Collusion Between Landlord and Real Estate Agent"

Kim Seoyeon, formerly of the group LPG, revealed that she personally experienced a jeonse fraud.

Kim Seoyeon appeared on the YouTube channel 'Robubu' to share her experience of being a victim of jeonse fraud and the difficulties that followed. In the video, Kim Seoyeon explained, "The house I am currently living in is my newlywed home, and the house where I was scammed is the one I lived in alone." She added that the house is still vacant and that she is repaying the loan. She also said, "I haven't cleared out all my belongings yet. Once I get the loan to settle the balance, I think I will have to clear out my things."

Visiting the site, Kim Seoyeon said, "It was a decent place with three rooms and two bathrooms, so my parents said they would move in here. But because of the loan issues, I think I might have to sell it, which is unfortunate." Regarding why she became a victim of the jeonse fraud, she stated, "Some of it was because I really didn't know, but since they deliberately targeted me, I couldn't avoid it. It's true that I was decided as a victim of jeonse fraud. I was scammed from the beginning." Robin, who appeared with her, added, "People say the victim is stupid, but that's not the case."

Kim Seoyeon explained the situation at the time of the contract: "Many people told me I should have researched better from the start, and I was uneasy from the beginning. This house had a mortgage on it. Since I couldn't get deposit insurance, I was scared and went with my mom to ask if it was a risky house, but the real estate agent said, 'Don't worry. The landlord is famous as a wealthy person in the neighborhood. He will guarantee the deposit.' So I thought it would be okay and moved in." She continued, "The 100 million won deposit insurance wasn't per house but was shared across the entire building," and claimed, "But they wouldn't even provide that. They were in cahoots with the real estate agent." She also revealed, "The landlord who was said to be rich was actually a homeless person's front account. I heard he bought the ID for 2 million won. I was caught in a setup."

Reflecting on the past four years, Kim Seoyeon said, "I went through a lot of emotional pain and worries for four years. I couldn't just cry all the time for four years, so I worked hard."

Meanwhile, French-born broadcaster Robin and Kim Seoyeon held their wedding in May. The couple overcame infertility and succeeded in natural pregnancy five months after their marriage, but they announced that they were diagnosed with a missed miscarriage on the 31st of last month.
