Actor Lee Beom-soo joined SBS's 'My Ugly Duckling' as a new member and opened up about his feelings after divorce.

Lee Beom-soo mentioned the recent consensual divorce on the show, saying, "As many people know, I had personal matters for 2 to 3 years. It was a personally sad and painful time, but it was recently resolved well." He continued, "There are no winners in a divorce. Both sides must be hurting. It's not just the two of us. There are children, too. My pain is not what's important. I feel very sorry for the children and for leaving pain to the family," expressing his remorse toward his children.

Regarding the controversy caused by his ex-wife's revelations during the divorce process, Lee Beom-soo said, "It was very upsetting from my perspective," but added, "I think it was good that I remained silent. I wanted to stay quiet because I felt sorry for the children. It's not something good to stand out for, so I didn't want to. I feel terribly sorry for the children."

He also spoke about his relationship with his children. Lee Beom-soo said, "I miss the children. During the lawsuit period, the eldest daughter stayed with her mother, and the younger son wanted to stay with his father, so I was with him. How much he must have missed his mother," he shared. After the agreement was finalized, he received messages from the children saying they missed him, and he was able to smile with them for the first time in years. Since then, his son visits twice a week after school, and his daughter also comes often.

Recalling the time when the lawsuit ended, he said, "As soon as I got home, I found myself lying on the bed without realizing it. When I opened my eyes the next day, my whole body hurt as if I had been beaten. I think the tension was released after resolving the issues that had been weighing on me for 2 to 3 years, and I caught a cold."

Lee Beom-soo married Lee Yoon-jin, who is 14 years younger, in 2010 but divorced after 14 years of marriage. Lee Yoon-jin claimed on her SNS that Lee Beom-soo was at fault, mentioning financial difficulties, conflicts with her mother-in-law, avoidance of consensual separation, and ignoring the divorce agreement. The two completed the legal process last February after about two years of litigation.

Previously, Lee Beom-soo married a college classmate in 2003 but divorced after five months, with mother-in-law and daughter-in-law conflicts reported as the reason for the divorce.
