Soyeon, after losing 20kg, says "If you don't do hip exercises, the weight will come off again"... reveals lower body routine


Singer Soyou revealed her consistent body management and exercise routine even after losing 20kg.

Through her YouTube channel 'Soyouki,' Soyou showcased a lower-body-focused workout process. In the video, she performed various hip exercises such as side plank clamshells and band hip abductions together with a trainer. Increasing the workout intensity, she emphasized, "You have to squeeze your whole body." During the final hip thrust movement, she placed equipment on her thighs and continued the repetitive motion while engaging her entire body.

During the workout, Soyou said, "It's really hard to build up hips when you have none at all," and "You can lift sagging hips, but to increase their size, carbohydrates are necessary for muscle growth." She added, "Many people hope to enlarge only their hips on a thin body, but that's difficult," explaining that the lower body must develop together for the hips to grow. She also stressed the importance of a consistent routine, saying, "Hips, like abs, will shrink again if you don't exercise them." She shared her management method, saying, "Hip exercises are always part of my routine. I give them a certain amount of stimulation and combine them with upper body workouts."

After finishing the workout, she laughed, saying, "Why am I not sweating today?" but added, "Still, I worked out thoroughly."

Soyou previously revealed that she lost about 20kg, going from 68kg to 49kg. Since her activities with SISTAR, she has continued various activities as a solo singer.
