Yang Sang-guk opened up about his lingering feelings for a girlfriend he dated before his debut through a broadcast.
Appearing on SBS's "No, But Really," Yang Sang-guk shared an anecdote about secretly going to a club at age 25 and getting caught by his girlfriend. He said that at the time, his girlfriend took good care of him, even cooking meals for him while he lived with seven others in a semi-basement. Yang Sang-guk expressed regret over getting angry instead of apologizing to his girlfriend after she found out about his club visit.
He also mentioned, "I was young and spirited back then. I'm not like that anymore," and referred to that girlfriend as number one in his heart. He recalled that this girlfriend, whom he met before becoming a comedian through the official recruitment process, liked everything about him.
Yang Sang-guk also shared a story about splitting egg whites and yolks to eat together. After breaking up with his girlfriend, he didn't go home for three days, but when she sent a message saying, "There's no one to eat the egg whites. Come quickly," he immediately went to her and apologized.
When host Tak Jae-hoon asked about his girlfriend's current status, Yang Sang-guk replied that she is not married yet.
Meanwhile, Yang Sang-guk debuted as a comedian in KBS's 22nd public recruitment class in 2007, and after publicly dating actress Chun Yi-seul in 2013, they broke up after one year.
