Singer Lim Young Woong has surpassed 13.7 billion cumulative streams on Melon, the largest music platform in South Korea. According to Melon's data, as of 9 a.m. on the 13th, Lim Young Woong's cumulative streaming count reached 13.7 billion.

Since reaching 13.6 billion streams at 9 a.m. on March 27, Lim Young Woong added 100 million streams in 17 days, setting a new record. This continues the steady increase even after surpassing the long-held cumulative number one position by the group BTS.

The release of the second full-length album 'IM HERO 2' played a significant role in the rise of the record. Following the new album release, the influx of new listeners from various generations and repeated plays of existing songs led to an overall increase in streaming. In particular, the continuous support from the fandom 'Youngwoong Era' contributed to the rise in streaming numbers.

Lim Young Woong is included in the 'Diamond Club,' which is awarded to artists with over 10 billion cumulative streams on Melon. It is a rare case for a solo singer to surpass 13 billion streams within a group-dominated top tier, and Lim Young Woong has been steadily updating the record even after reaching number one.

Immediately after achieving the record, Lim Young Woong expressed gratitude to fans through the official fan cafe 'Youngwoong Era,' saying, "I still can't believe the number 13.5 billion. All of this was only possible because of the Youngwoong Era family." He added, "This record is especially precious because it contains your valuable time."

Meanwhile, Lim Young Woong is scheduled to hold a solo concert, 'IM HERO - THE STADIUM 2,' at Goyang Sports Complex in September.
