Kang Daniel shared an update on his status as a squad leader at the Army Training Center during his military service.
The Army Training Center (K.A.T.C.) released a video on its official YouTube channel on April 13 announcing the recruitment of squad leaders. In the video, Kang Daniel saluted and greeted with "Loyalty," then introduced himself as "Squad Leader Kang Daniel of the 11th Company, 3rd Training Battalion, 25th Regiment."
He explained how to become a squad leader: "The first way is to apply through the Military Manpower Administration. According to the recruitment plan for specialized soldiers by the Military Manpower Administration, first-round successful candidates are selected, and then they undergo a second evaluation at the Army Training Center, including physical fitness tests and interviews, to become squad leaders." He also mentioned the second method, which is to apply for enlistment at the Army Training Center.
Kang Daniel said, "I was also selected as a squad leader at the Army Training Center. In my opinion, the biggest advantage of being a squad leader is that you can develop leadership by leading many people during your military service, and you take pride in directly leading trainees to become elite soldiers of the Army."
Kang Daniel enlisted as an active-duty soldier in the Army on March 9. He gained recognition through Mnet's 'Produce 101' Season 2 in 2017, debuted with Wanna One, and has been active as a solo singer since 2019.
