Singer Hwasa shared an update by revealing her experience of suffering a second-degree burn on the sole of her foot before a performance.
Hwasa appeared on MBC FM4U's "Noon's Hope Song with Kim Shin-young" and disclosed the situation at the time of the accident along with Mamamoo's plans for full-group activities. When a listener asked if she had been burned after seeing her run around impressively at a concert, Hwasa explained the situation herself. She said, "I was moving a steam humidifier and spilled water, then stepped on it," adding, "Fortunately, it touched my foot, not my body." She continued, "I was moving the humidifier while naked, so stepping on the water helped me avoid a more serious burn."
She immediately went to the emergency room for treatment after the burn, and although it was a second-degree burn, she said she has now fully recovered. Hwasa added, "At one point, my skin was darkened, but now there is almost no trace left." Previously, Hwasa had also revealed on the web variety show "Salon Drip" that she had suffered a burn by stepping on water from a steam humidifier heated over 100 degrees the day before a performance.
Meanwhile, Mamamoo is celebrating their 12th debut anniversary and has announced a full-group comeback and world tour scheduled for June.
