The band Back Number is embarking on their first overseas tour since their debut, and as part of their Asia tour, they will hold a concert in Korea at KINTEX Hall 9 in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do from September 12 to 13. This tour, named the "Greatful Yesterdays Tour 2026," will visit five cities in Japan as well as major Asian cities including Taipei, Seoul, and Hong Kong.
Back Number is a three-member band formed in 2004, consisting of Iyori Shimizu (vocals and guitar), Kazuya Kojima (bass), and Hisashi Kurihara (drums). Since their major debut in 2011, they have established themselves as a representative band in the Japanese music market, gaining a wide fan base with lyrics that deal with realistic themes such as love and breakup, youth, and daily life, and melodies that intuitively convey emotions. Their representative songs include "Suiheisen," "Happy End," "Christmas Song," and "Hanataba."
"Suiheisen" was created during the COVID-19 pandemic inspired by letters from high school students and ranked number one on streaming charts for nine consecutive weeks. They have also contributed to various visual works including movie and drama OSTs and the 2025 NHK Winter Sports theme song "Kanarazu." In 2023, they held a five-dome tour with a total of nine performances, attracting about 380,000 spectators and selling out all shows.
Tickets for the Seoul concert will go on sale at 7 PM on the 22nd through the online ticketing platform Yes24. Standing R seats and seated R seats are priced at 154,000 KRW, and standing S seats are priced at 143,000 KRW.
