IU showed deep immersion in their character on the set of the drama "21st Century Great Madam."

The video released through the channel "Lee Ji-geum" captured IU during the filming of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama "21st Century Great Madam." IU played the role of Seong Hee-joo, a character who possesses beauty, talent, and wealth but faces social limitations as a commoner.

On the day of filming, a scene was shot where Seong Hee-joo chooses a suitor in her office. IU delivered the line, "Is it really that hard to find someone with my level of ability, wealth, and beauty?" expressing the character's dissatisfaction.

After filming, IU said, "My posture is a bit disrespectful, right? Sorry. You shouldn't see me with my feet on the desk on IU TV, but please understand since it's Hee-joo." They added, "Hee-joo's personality is no joke; she's a wreck. From an acting perspective, it's surprisingly fun. It's tough at first, but a broken personality is interesting."

"21st Century Great Madam" is a drama set in a constitutional monarchy version of Korea, depicting a romance that breaks social status barriers between a woman who has everything as a chaebol but is dissatisfied with her commoner status, and a man who is the king's son but has nothing.
