Singer Taemin appeared on FOX11's entertainment program "Good Day LA" to share his thoughts on performing at Coachella and his future plans.
On the live broadcast of "Good Day LA" on the 15th (local time), Taemin expressed his feelings about successfully completing his performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The host introduced Taemin as "the first Korean male solo artist to perform in Coachella history."
Taemin, who debuted six new songs at Coachella, said, "It was a fresh and enjoyable experience to present music in a new form, breaking away from the traditional methods." Regarding the moment when the audience turned on their phone flashlights during the performance, he said, "The view from the stage looked like stars floating in space, and it made me really happy."
He stated that the performance was very meaningful as it was at an iconic festival, and since it was a stage he had dreamed of for a long time, he was deeply moved that his dream had come true. He added, "It was my first time at a large festival, so I was very nervous, but I approached the stage with the heart of a rookie."
Taemin also spoke about his second Coachella performance scheduled for the 18th, saying, "Based on my stage experience, I will improve the parts that were lacking and show a more complete performance," and mentioned that he plans to change his outfit as well. He hinted, "It will probably be a style with a bit of exposure."
Regarding his stage costumes and props recently exhibited at the Grammy Museum, Taemin shared, "Seeing my work placed next to the Michael Jackson exhibition I admired made me feel like a 'successful fan'." His favorite Michael Jackson song is "Smooth Criminal."
Meanwhile, Taemin is set to return to the Coachella stage on the 18th to meet music fans from around the world.
