
Actress Moon Geun-young revealed her healthy recent condition through the tvN variety show "You Quiz on the Block." Moon Geun-young was diagnosed with acute compartment syndrome while performing in the 2017 play "Romeo and Juliet" and underwent four surgeries. She announced her full recovery in 2024.
In the broadcast preview, Moon Geun-young introduced herself as "the nation's little sister, the young bride," saying, "In the meantime, I turned forty." She then explained the situation during the acute compartment syndrome, saying, "The golden time had already passed, and necrosis might have started. So, I had to undergo emergency surgery." She also shared an anecdote about telling her mother right after the surgery, "I'm so happy because I can finally rest with peace of mind."
Moon Geun-young mentioned her changes, saying, "I don't know if my heart grew as my body grew," and expressed, "I think my forties will be exciting and fun."
Meanwhile, the play "Orphans," starring Moon Geun-young, will be performed at Daehangno TOM 1 Theater until the 31st of next month. She plays the lead role of Treat alongside Jung In-ji, Choi Seok-jin, and Oh Seung-hoon. "You Quiz on the Block" will air on the 22nd at 8:45 PM.
