Compose Coffee is receiving high attention in the Taiwanese market with the campaign featuring V of BTS. Compose Coffee officially opened its first store in Taipei, Taiwan on the 14th, marking the start of its local expansion. Beginning with the first store opening, the company plans to secure 10 stores in key locations by 2026 and open 550 stores across Taiwan by 2033.
Prior to the official opening, a pre-opening was held on the 30th of last month as a check phase before launching the new service. The pre-opening was operated in a formal sales format, not as a free event, and recorded high demand with one cup sold every 20 seconds. This resulted in waiting lines lasting over two hours, confirming strong interest from local consumers. Local media quickly reported this news. Taiwan's leading media outlet, Minshi News Network (FTV News), reported, "The coffee brand advertised by BTS's Kim Taehyung has entered Taipei... Fans lined up around the park, and fans queued to take photos with 'Kim Taehyung' posters and pictures." The video released by the media showed fans taking photos with V's posters and certification shots, as well as the continuing crowd.
V's impact was also prominent in the advertising campaign. The recently released advertisement campaign video featuring V, titled "That Night, Our Decaf," recorded 13 million views within a day of its release. It surpassed 61 million views five days after its release, proving high interest from domestic and international consumers. This campaign is characterized by analog filming techniques reminiscent of a short film, receiving praise as being more than an advertisement, but like a youth movie. V showcased emotional acting from a fresh high school boy to an adult. Compose Coffee plans to release additional making-of footage through its official channels today, the 20th.
