Nexon has launched the second commemorative update to celebrate the 23rd anniversary of the online game MapleStory. This update introduces the third universal core (6th universal core) that enhances combat efficiency across all job classes, while the existing universal cores such as Sol Janus and Erda Fountain have had their damage adjusted according to each job. Additionally, usability improvements have been made to some 5th universal cores.

Along with this, a feature to change the appearance of the HEXA universal core Sol Hecate, introduced in January, has been added. New features include a skill acceleration effect applied for a certain period when using Origin skills, a system that maintains some buff effects even after logging out, and an "Expanded UI Mode" for users in windowed mode.

A collaboration event with BTS member Jin is also underway. On the 22nd, an "Amazing Hot Time" event will be held where Jin will log into the game and interact with users. Players who log in with characters level 260 or higher on that day will receive three Sol Erdas and 100 Sol Erda Fragment Exchange Tickets once per account. Among users who accept "Jin's Invitation," 1,500 will be randomly selected to be invited to an event map where they can communicate with Jin, and 77 of them will receive the cosmetic item "Astral Touch" as a gift. On the 29th, the "JIN-filled Snack Event" will take place at Lotte World Adventure, where participants can solve quizzes prepared by Jin using QR codes and receive snacks on a first-come, first-served basis.

Combat content has also been enhanced. As part of "Change Burning: Lucid," a new boss named Helena has been added. Helena is a Lucid-exclusive boss featuring combat patterns characterized by aerial evasion. Defeating her on Nightmare difficulty rewards players with items such as the "Dream Butterfly Finish Attack Effect Exchange Ticket."

Furthermore, from the 23rd to the 29th, the "Spring Light Scenery, Autumn Leaf Memories" event will run, where players complete missions by talking to specific NPCs. From the 30th to May 6th, the "Maple Monsters" minigame celebrating Children's Day will be held. In this minigame, cosmetic items such as the "Maple Monsters Chair" and "Pepe Set Exchange Ticket" will be awarded based on cumulative scores. Until June 17th, players can obtain a new booster item called "Echo of Nightmare" by defeating monsters within a certain level range. When used, this item summons a special monster called "Nightmare Cleaner" for 100 seconds, granting large amounts of experience and support effects for attack skills.
