RIIZE is showcasing a new musical direction by participating in a drama OST for the first time since their debut. Kakao Entertainment announced that on April 18 at 6 PM, the OST Part.4 "Behind The Shine" for MBC's Friday-Saturday drama "21st Century Great Lady" will be released.
"Behind The Shine" is a pop track that blends electric guitar melodies with a dreamy atmosphere, and the emotional vocals of RIIZE members are praised for enhancing the song's completeness. In particular, the lyrics, which convey unspoken sincerity such as "Forgotten feelings pour down slowly" and "I will be here quietly, shining only on you," evoke the narratives of the drama's main characters.
Since their debut, RIIZE has achieved various milestones, including becoming the fastest K-pop boy group to perform at Tokyo Dome, attracting 420,000 fans across 21 regions worldwide during their world tour, and being the first K-pop boy group to appear at Lollapalooza South America. This OST participation is expected to reveal a delicate and lyrical sensibility different from the intense performances they have shown on stage.
MBC's "21st Century Great Lady" (written by Yoo Ji-won, directed by Park Joon-hwa and Bae Hee-young, planned by Kang Dae-sun, produced by MBC and Kakao Entertainment) is set in a 21st-century constitutional monarchy Korea and depicts a romance of two individuals overcoming social status limitations to forge their destinies. In the third episode aired on the 17th, the contract marriage between Seong Hee-joo (played by IU) and Prince Ian (played by Byun Woo-seok) was fully developed. The drama airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM. The previously released OSTs have also been well received for enhancing the emotional line of the story.
