The band Shin Inryu will perform the second OST of the TVING original series "Yumi's Cells Season 3." The production team of "Yumi's Cells Season 3" announced on April 17 that OST Part 2, "Protagonist (2026 Ver.)," featuring Shin Inryu, will be released on various music platforms at noon on April 20.
"Protagonist (2026 Ver.)" is a remake track that reinterprets the song, which was loved when performed by Na Sanghyun's band in Season 1, with Shin Inryu's unique sensibility. Bright and clean vocals blend with strings, guitar, and synth sounds to delicately express the emotions between excitement and hesitation. This song is said to offer a new charm to series fans by switching the original male and female vocal arrangement.
Previously released Part 1, "Are You Caring About Me (2026 Ver.)" by So Subin, reinterpreted Wendy's original from Kim Jaewon (Shin Sunrok)'s perspective, newly expressing the feelings of a "some" relationship, and Part 2 also adds a new texture with Shin Inryu's distinctive pastel-tone band sound while maintaining the original emotion.
Shin Inryu is a three-member rock band consisting of Shin Onyu, Moon Junghwan, and Ha Hyeongeon, which attracted attention upon debut. They have been steadily loved by listeners for expressing emotions and experiences of joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure, as well as comfort toward sadness, through calm lyrics and melodies.
Meanwhile, returning after four years, "Yumi's Cells Season 3" depicts a cell-stimulating empathetic romance unfolding as an unexpected character appears in the daily life of Yumi, who has become a star writer.
