Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon appeared on the YouTube channel 'Hal Myung Soo' and shared her thoughts on dormitory life.

Hyoyeon said, "I am still living in the dormitory. Next year will mark 20 years," and mentioned the advantages of dormitory life, saying, "It's nice because I can rest comfortably and delicious meals are provided." She recalled when she joined SM Entertainment, stating, "When I first signed the contract, they said they would take care of me like a second mother, and they have been taking good care of me ever since."

Hyoyeon mentioned her financial philosophy, saying, "I believe that saving money is the only way to survive." She also honestly expressed, "Sometimes when I have no income, I feel self-conscious. I wonder if I really belong here."

When Park Myung Soo asked, "Is there anyone among the members you would want to live in the dormitory with again?" Hyoyeon replied, "I don't want to accept anyone." She added, "When a friend comes in late at dawn after finishing drama filming, I get startled, thinking a thief has broken in. I don't think I would be happy no matter who comes in."
