
BTS maintained a top 3 position on the US Billboard main album chart, the Billboard 200, for four consecutive weeks with their fifth studio album 'Arirang' (ARIRANG). According to the chart preview article released on Billboard's official website on the 20th, 'Arirang' ranked 3rd on the Billboard 200 chart dated April 25. The album debuted at number 1 immediately after its release on the 20th of last month, holding the top spot for two consecutive weeks, followed by 2nd and 3rd place, remaining in the top tier for four consecutive weeks.
'Arirang' recorded 78,000 album units on this week's chart. This figure is the total of pure album sales, SEA units (streaming equivalent albums), and TEA units (track equivalent albums).
With this achievement, 'Arirang' set the highest Billboard 200 ranking for BTS albums in their fourth week since release. The previous best was 8th place in the fourth week for the 2019 mini-album 'MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA.'
The world tour is also actively underway. BTS is performing the 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'' across 34 cities with 85 shows. Approximately 132,000 people attended the concerts held at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on the 9th and 11th-12th. Following that, 110,000 fans gathered for the Tokyo Dome concerts in Japan on the 17th-18th. During the Tokyo Dome performance, local audiences joined in singing the Korean folk song 'Arirang' during the stage of the new song 'Body to Body.'
BTS will begin their North American tour at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, USA, on the 25th-26th and 28th of this month.
Meanwhile, the title track 'SWIM' from the new album achieved a total of 14 wins on domestic music shows. On the 19th, SBS's 'Inkigayo' saw the album track '2.0' take first place, confirming the strong response to the entire album.
